Rangers rally for fourth in the seventh to edge Seattle 5-4
ARLINGTON, Texas, July 4 () -- Adrian Beltre's leadoff homer touched off a four-run seventh inning Thursday that rallied Texas to a 5-4 decision over Seattle.The Rangers avoided a three-game sweep at the hands of the Mariners, who owned a 3-1 lead heading into the bottom of the seventh.Texas had scored just five runs in the first 24 innings of the series before sending eight men to the plate in the seventh.Beltre brought the Rangers within one with his homer, after which A.J. Pierzynski singled and Lance Berkman drew a walk off starter Hisashi Iwakuma (7-4).Charlie Furbush relieved Iwakuma, but surrendered an RBI single to Mitch Moreland and a sacrifice fly to Elvis Andrus that brought in the go-ahead run. A fielding error by second baseman Nick Franklin allowed Leonys Martin to reach base and Ian Kinsler then drove in a run with a single.Raul Ibanez had an RBI base hit in the eighth to move the Mariners within one, but Joe Nathan came on in the ninth to grab his 28th save.Josh Lindblom (1-2),[url=http://www.tymarc.com/]christian louboutin outlet[/url], the fourth of six Texas pitchers, recorded the final two outs in the top of the seventh to get the win.
