| Singer Bobby Brown to serve 55 days in jail for DUI

News, confirming Brown's no contest plea and sentence Tuesday. The 55-year-old singer also was placed on 48 months summary probation and ordered to pay fees, complete an 18-month alcohol program and install an ignition interlock device that prohibits the driver from starting the car if his or her blood alcohol content is over a certain limit, E! News said.Brown's license was suspended due to a prior conviction for driving under the influence.The singer is the ex-husband of recording artist Whitney Houston, who died in February 2012. The couple had a stormy relationship fueled by drug and alcohol abuse and their 14-year marriage ended in 2007. |
