FAIRFAX, Va., June 4 () -- Advanced mission computers aboard U.S. Navy F/A-18,[url=http://www.trueireligion.com]True Religion Outlet Store[/url], EA-18G and AV-8B fighters will continue to receive logistics and repair support from General Dynamics.The continued service for Hornet, Growler and Harrier aircraft by General Dynamics Advanced Information Systems comes under a $31.5 million performance-based logistics contract from the Naval Supply Systems Command.The performance period is five years."We have a long history of providing highly reliable mission computers for the Navy's airborne programs," said Mike Tweed-Kent, vice president and general manager of General Dynamics Advanced Information Systems Mission Integration Systems division. "Building upon this relationship, we are continuing to streamline logistics support and deliver systems with improved reliability and flexibility through our open architecture model, providing the Navy with enhanced cost savings and strengthened performance capabilities."The advanced mission computer is an integrated information processing system that performs general purpose tasks, including input/output, video, voice and graphics processing. General Dynamics said work on the contract will be mainly conducted at a company facility in Minnesota.
