| EPA, Maryland announce $3.4 million green cities initiative

Martin O'Malley said they would work through a joint investment of $3.4 million on a green cities initiative.The EPA said the program, administered with the support of the Chesapeake Bay Trust, was part of Washington's efforts to use more green infrastructure and add more green space to the region."EPA's expanded partnership with the state of Maryland and the Chesapeake Bay Trust will support projects to improve water quality and economic vitality in the region," McCarthy said in a statement Wednesday.Maryland Sen.
