China says first-quarter crude, gas output up slightly

For the first quarter, China's apparent oil demand averaged 10.15 million barrels a day, up 3.5 percent year-on-year, but down from 10.28 million barrels a day in the last quarter of last year, an indication of the country's slower economic growth.China's economy grew 7.7 percent in the first quarter compared with a growth of 7.9 percent in the fourth quarter of last year. |
