| Norah Jones to sing 'Ted' theme at Oscars in LA next month
LOS ANGELES, Jan. 28 () -- Grammy Award-winning singer-songwriter Norah Jones is to perform "Everybody Needs a Best Friend" from "Ted" at the Oscars in Los Angeles next month.This will be Jones' first time performing on an Oscar show, telecast producers Craig Zadan and Neil Meron said Monday. The song features music by Walter Murphy and lyrics by Seth MacFarlane, who also wrote and directed "Ted," as well as provided the voice for the titular stuffed bear. "Everybody Needs a Best Friend" is nominated for an Original Song Oscar.
