CHICAGO, April 18 () -- Carlos Villanueva gave up just four hits in seven innings Thursday in the Chicago Cubs' 6-2 win over the Texas Rangers.Villanueva (1-0) allowed only five base runners and three of those were eliminated in double plays. After Starlin Castro walked, Anthony Rizzo and Alfonso Soriano hit back-to-back home runs for a 5-0 lead and one out later Ogando (2-1) was removed from the game.Kinsler hit his home run in the fourth inning but Castillo singled and scored when Valbuena doubled. The Cruz homer came in the seventh inning. |
