Embraer: A-29 deliveries to USAF start next year
WASHINGTON, Sept. 17 () -- Embraer Defense & Security Inc. says it is on schedule to begin delivering A-29 Super Tucano training and combat air support aircraft to the U.S. Air Force.The 20 aircraft are being supplied for the U.S. Air Force's Light Air Support program and will be transferred to the Air Force of Afghanistan.The Brazilian aircraft will be assembled at a new Embraer facility in Jacksonville, Fla.,[url=http://www.apollo13show.com/]michael kors coupon[/url], and the company said deliveries will begin in the middle of next year."This facility will perform pre-equipping,[url=http://www.yubikeys.net/]true religion outlet[/url], mechanical assembly, structural assembly, systems installation and testing, and flight testing of A-29 Super Tucano aircraft," said Daniel W. Embraer won the Air Force contract in late February with the Sierra Nevada Corp., the prime contractor for the project.Embraer said more than 100 U.S. companies will supply parts and services for the A-29 Super Tucano.
