NEILSTON, Scotland, May 14 () -- A village in Scotland will get about $15 million worth of income from the electricity sold from a community-owned wind farm,[url=http://www.jdebug.net]Jimmy Choo Outlet UK[/url], the government said.Scottish Deputy First Minister Nicola Sturgeon visited the southern village of Neilston to open a $23.9 million, four-turbine community wind farm.He said the project was supported by a development fund from the Scottish government. Neilston residents raised enough money to buy a 28 percent stake in the wind farm in part through a loan from the Scottish government.Neilston residents during the lifespan of the wind farm will generate about $23.9 million in income. An average wind farm has a lifespan of about 20 years."This government is focused on supporting the growth of local and community ownership of renewable energy so that communities can share the rewards of Scotland's vast natural resources," Sturgeon said in a statement.Scotland aims to generate 100 percent of its electricity needs through renewables by 2020.
