Shia LaBeouf Up For 'The Bourne Legacy',[link widoczny dla zalogowanych]
Add one more name to the slew of young actors in the running for Tony Gilroy's The Bourne Legacy: Shia LaBeouf,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych].
Latino Review confirms an item originating from What's Playing a few days back of LaBeouf recently meeting with Gilroy about the film out in LA and is in the mix for the yet unnamed,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], Bourne-like assassin role.
With all the names mentioned,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], LaBeouf is actually someone I like. Say what you will about him (though I don't understand all the negativity) the guy is a honest,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], hard working young actor who takes his job very seriously. Along with this,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], I think he is exceptionally talented and would bring a hell of a determined attitude to the Bourne franchise. Not to mention,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], LaBeouf being picked would be an inspired choice,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], just like Matt Damon was over a decade ago when we only knew him as "that guy who wrote Good Will Hunting."
We're likely to hear official casting soon as The Bourne Legacy is set to start filming this summer,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych].
I don like it. Its nothing against LaBeouf,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], I just don see how the role suits him.
While Damon may not have been a household name or fanboy favorite when The Bourne Identity was released,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], he still displayed,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], in previous roles the kind of stoic intensity that is believable for a well trained assassin. Meanwhile,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], LaBeouf plays less intense,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], more laid back characters. Based on the universe established in the three previous films and what we know about Treadstone,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], I just don think the role suits his style. It would be one thing if he were playing a reporter or CIA analyst who kind of stumbles into Bourne legacy and the treadstone project and becomes consumed in it,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], but it seems instead that he is playing a member of the project and an assassin along the same vein as Jason Bourne before he lost his memory. That doesn suit LaBeouf.
Of course,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], I don think it matters much as I think a Jason Bourne movie without Jason Bourne is bound for failure.
