Malaysia sees Canadian natural gas in positive light
KUALA LUMPUR,[url=http://www.govtvault.com/]cheap gucci belt[/url], Malaysia,[url=http://www.myeduhelp.com/]christian louboutin men[/url], Oct. 7 () -- Malaysian Prime Minister Najib Razak said strong energy ties to Canada are a reflection of "friendly relations" between the two governments.In May, Malaysian energy company Petronas said it started work on a liquefied natural gas project in British Columbia that will have the capacity to process 6 million tons of LNG per year. Petronas is working alongside Progress Energy Canada Ltd. on LNG projects in Canada. Razak said a $6 billion investment decision by Petronas in Canada was a significant development."[The investment] is done in the wake of the friendly relations we have and the positive response we received from the Canadian government in respect to Petronas' involvement in Canada," he was quoted as saying Sunday by the Edmonton JournalCanadian Prime Minister Stephen Harper arrived Sunday in Indonesia to attend a regional summit of Asian leaders. Harper's administration has been eager to court energy-hungry Asian economies to diversify a domestic energy sector that relies almost exclusively on the United States for trade.
