A group of foreign students discovered Mr Guy's torso wrapped in a black bin liner on the beach in front of The Pyramids,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], Southsea shortly before 5.30pm on Tuesday,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], July 3.
Shortly after 8am on Friday,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], July 6,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], police search teams located the lower half of Mr Guy's body on the rocks at low tide in front of Castle Field,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], Southsea.
Detective Chief Inspector Dick Pearson of the Hampshire Major Investigation Team (HMIT) said: "Although we have charged a suspect with murder,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], one important line of enquiry is to establish David
Guy's last known movements and whereabouts when he was alive,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych].
"Specialist officers are working closely with next-of-kin to keep them informed and provide support at this exceptionally difficult time. Mr Guy's family have kindly supplied a photograph of David,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych],
which we are publishing as part of a fresh appeal for information,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych]. Hampshire Constabulary is grateful for their co-operation in such upsetting circumstances,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych].
"We are appealing to anyone who thinks they saw David Guy between Saturday,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], June 30 and Monday,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], July 2. Even the briefest sighting or smallest piece of information could prove significant to our
enquiries,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych]."
Mr Guy was described as white,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], 5ft 6,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], of alight build with brown unkempt hair.
He was last seen wearing an untucked white polo shirt with blue horizontal stripes,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], blue jeans,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], and black shoes or trainers Witnesses or anyone with information are asked to contact the Eastern
