Singer Darryl Cotton has bid a final goodbye to family, friends and fans with a letter saying, 'Life's been good.'
'I can't put into words how much I love you,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych],' he wrote to his wife Cheryl and children Amy and Tim in a final address read at his funeral in Melbourne on Wednesday.
Former manager and friend Jeff Joseph described Cotton as a ray of sunshine,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], saying he collected 'silver,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], gold and platinum records and a lot of public affection',[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], throughout his career.
His children recalled him building cardboard airplanes, shining shoes and gaffer-taping skirt hems so they wouldn't drop.
'Thank you for being the perfect father and husband,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], for always being there,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych],' daughter Amy Cotton said.
Cotton had a gene in him that made him want to help others,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], said Russell Morris, his bandmate in Cotton,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], Keays and Morris.
Jim Keays said he was the manager,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], the roadie and the driver of their band.
