Artsana eyes local sourcing for Chicco babycare range,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych]

Italy-based Artsana SpA, that entered India through its babycare brand Chicco in April, is looking at sourcing opportunities in India for its apparels, shoes and toiletries range for Chicco.

Explaining how Chicco would differentiate itself in the largely unorganised babycare market, he said that it would position itself in the mid-to-premium range,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], but offer products with innovations such as sleepwell pillow,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], infrared thermometre, travel solutions for babies and mosquito repellents for new-borns.
On the growth opportunity in the Indian babycare market, he says that the present day Indian baby has a lot of pockets open for it parents, two sets of grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], who are willing to spend on the baby. The pocket share for the baby is getting larger and therefore the opportunity for babycare brands.
