Metallica to play Apollo Theater Sept. 21
NEW YORK, Aug. 22 () -- The heavy metal band Metallica says it will play the iconic Apollo Theater in New York next month."In a year of firsts, this is definitely a big one for us -- we'll be playing at Harlem's world famous Apollo Theater in New York City on Sept. 21!" the group said in a statement on its website Wednesday."We're teaming up with SiriusXM to bring back the Mandatory Metallica channel and will be celebrating with a special show for listeners that will air live nationwide on the revitalized channel," the message said.
