David Wilson having MRI on neck Monday, Andre Brown set to return
Getty ImagesWhen the season started, the Giants thought David Wilson and Andre Brown would be their top two running backs. They've had to rely on the likes of Da'Rel Scott, Brandon Jacobs and Peyton Hillis because of injuries to Brown and Wilson, although that will change this week. The question is how much things will change.Running back Andre Brown will almost certainly be on the field this week, the first game that he's eligible to play after going on injured reserve with the possibility to return. Brown said Monday that he feels ready after missing two-plus months with a broken leg and that the coaches have outlined a plan for his workload. The coaches just told me to be ready, Brown said, via the Newark Star-Ledger. They threw me some special plays out there. They want to get me back in football shape. They want to kind of ease me into this thing. That's what they plan on doing and we'll go from there.Wilson has been out for several weeks with a neck injury and coach Tom Coughlin said, via Ralph Vacchiano of the New York Daily News, moncler uk, he was having it examined with a very important MRI on Monday. There's been no word on the results, which would presumably determine if Wilson can play again this season, and Wilson has tweeted that he's frustrated by playing the waiting game again.UPDATE 4:07 p.m. ET: Mike Garafolo of FOX Sports reports that Wilson has more waiting time ahead. His neck has improved, but he still hasn't gotten a green light to return to action.
